Addaction provides an intensive community based Structured Day Programme for anyone with a history of problematic substance misuse. We use a psychosocial and recovery focused approach, addressing individual needs with the aim of reintroducing the client into training, education and eventually employment. We support clients to improve relationships with their family and specifically engage clients with children to encourage consideration of the impact of drug misuse within the family environment.

Provides advocacy support to people in West Lancs. The project includes Mental Health Advocacy,. Advocacy is free and confidential. Advocates are available on a one to one basis to help people access information, services, translate jargon and talk to professionals.

Age Concern Blackburn with Darwen provides numerous services to local older people within the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen.

To provide a service for older people with memory problems living in their own home to enable continued enjoyment of interests and hobbies, to encourage and maintain independence, provide emotional support, companionship and build up trusting relationships. It also aims to reduce social isolation and retain links with the local community and provide information to client and carer. This service is for any person's aged 65 and over with any form of suspected or diagnosed early stage of memory problem living within the Chorley Borough.

Provides counselling and support to anyone who is affected as a result of bereavement. Counselling is available by home visit or an afternoon appointment at the office. There are no limit on the number of counselling sessions.

Day Unit caters for the older adult with mental health problems. All referrals to the Unit are via a G.P. They cater for both functional and organic clients. They also offer an advice service for carers experiencing problems.
